This innovative countersunk fire pit installs flush with ground level, creating the dramatic effect of flames emerging directly from the earth while concealing structural elements. Measuring 136 cm diameter and only 20 cm high, it weighs 140 kg and uses natural Corten steel construction that begins blue-black and develops characteristic weathering patina over time. The recessed design can be installed in any external surface and includes a walkable cover plate that isolates fire residue while allowing foot traffic when not in use. When not burning, the fire pit blends seamlessly into surroundings and becomes virtually invisible, but transforms into an animated focal point when flames are present. The substantial construction ensures stability despite below-grade installation while maintaining safety through its low profile design.
