Serpentine marble — quarried from the mountains of northern Greece and used in Byzantine church floors for its deep olive-green veining — carries a colour that sits between mineral and botanical, as much forest as stone. Monaco Edition wove this wool and viscose rug with that serpentine marble as its palette reference: deep olive and warm ivory in branching vein forms, the viscose content adding a plant-derived sheen through the wool ground that gives the deep green a living quality. Both fibres are naturally derived and sustainably sourced. For a living room, dining space or bedroom where a strong natural palette is the right choice. Available in custom sizes.
