Thin lines of pale blue-grey trace across an almost-white ground like the veining in marble or the cracks in old glaze — a composition of great delicacy that holds itself together without any need for contrast or drama. The design was inspired by the surface of aged Carrara marble, where the veins run through the stone as though drawn by a careful hand over geological time, each one unique and none of them placed by anyone.
