The survey maps produced by early 20th-century cartographers working in green-inked pen on cream paper had a visual quality that was entirely accidental and entirely beautiful — precise lines crossing a pale ground in a composition governed by geography rather than aesthetics, and more interesting for it. This Monaco Edition wool rug was drawn from those cartographic drawings: a warm ivory field crossed by lines of forest green and pale terracotta in a composition that reads as architectural and organic at the same time. Natural wool is responsibly sourced in Monaco Edition's production, chosen for its durability, natural temperature-regulation and long-term performance. For a home office, living room or bedroom.
