Renzo Piano's early drawings — made in teal ink on cream paper with a graphic directness that his buildings would later embody in steel and glass — had a visual quality that was entirely functional and entirely beautiful, the lines of structure and the lines of space indistinguishable from one another. Monaco Edition drew from those architectural drawings for this wool rug: a pale ground carrying fine lines of deep teal and warm rust in a composition that reads as structural drawing rather than decorative pattern. Pure natural wool is biodegradable and sustainably sourced. For a home office, living room or any interior where design rigour is the starting point. Available in custom sizes.
