Working drawings from the offices of Louis Kahn — the American architect who spent his career thinking about how light enters a building — were made in pencil on cream paper with a precision that came from years of practice and a conviction that every line had to mean something. Monaco Edition drew from those Kahn drawings for this wool rug: a pale taupe ground carrying fine orthogonal lines in warm charcoal and rust, the composition reading as an architectural plan translated to the floor. Pure natural wool is biodegradable, thermoregulating and sustainably sourced. For a home office, living room or bedroom where considered design starts at the floor. Available in custom sizes.
