The architectural drawings produced in Viennese studios at the turn of the 20th century — Hoffmann, Loos, the Wiener Werkstätte designers — were made on cream paper with lines of such economy and precision that they read as finished compositions rather than working documents. This Monaco Edition rug was hand-knotted in wool and silk with those drawings as its reference: a warm ivory ground crossed by a fine geometric grid, the wool providing the ground's natural depth and the silk threads giving the lines a warmth and sheen that pure wool cannot achieve alone. Both materials are natural, renewable and sustainably sourced in Monaco Edition's supply chain. Suited to a home office, bedroom or living room. Available in custom sizes.
