The surface reads like a fragment of old wall — layers of rose, terracotta, stone and pale grey overlapping in a composition that suggests time passing rather than pattern repeating. The design was inspired by the plastered walls of abandoned Mediterranean houses, where decades of sun, salt air and fading paint create a surface more beautiful than any decorator could plan. Hand-knotted in wool and bamboo silk, the pile holds both the warmth of the palette and a quiet luminosity where the silk threads catch the light through the wool ground.
