Geologists read tectonic maps the way musicians read scores — each line recording a movement that happened over millions of years and left a permanent mark on the surface above. This Monaco Edition rug was hand-knotted in wool and silk with those cartographic traces as its starting point: fine veining lines crossing a fragmented field of warm stone, slate and earth tones, the silk threads giving the veins a quiet luminosity that makes them read as lines of light rather than lines of pigment. A rug that brings geological scale and warmth into a room simultaneously. Suited to living rooms and home offices. Available in custom sizes.
