Cool grey grounds have furnished the most enduring neutral interiors in European design — Gustavian Swedish rooms, Parisian apartments, Georgian English houses — because grey holds adjacent colours without competing with them and carries pattern without insisting on it. Monaco Edition wove this wool rug on exactly that principle: a cool grey field carrying a quiet repeat of small symbolic marks in a slightly deeper tone, the composition visible as texture from a distance and as a considered grid up close.
