Hilma af Klint spent years painting large circular compositions that she called The Paintings for the Temple — works in which concentric forms in warm rose, grey and ivory were understood as diagrams of spiritual states rather than abstract decoration. This circular Monaco Edition rug in wool and silk draws from those paintings: a large medallion form in warm rose, grey and pale ivory, the silk threads giving the colour a natural luminosity that af Klint's oil paint could never achieve. Wool and silk are both naturally biodegradable and sustainably sourced. A rug for a bedroom or living room. Available in custom sizes.
