The cross-sections of agate — stone sliced open to reveal concentric rings of rust, amber and ivory deposited over millions of years — produce some of the most resolved natural compositions on earth, with no designer involved and no revision possible. This Monaco Edition rug was made in wool and silk in a circular format with those geological rings as its direct reference: warm terracotta, ivory and near-black in organic layered forms, the silk content giving the colour a natural luminosity that lifts the palette beyond what wool alone achieves. Both fibres are naturally derived, biodegradable and sustainably sourced. A rug for a living room or bedroom where the floor is treated as a surface worth considering. Available in custom sizes.
