The flat-woven textiles produced along the Silk Road trading routes acquired their particular quality from the discipline of the loom — fine parallel lines running the length of the cloth, the colour shifting gradually from tone to tone as the dye lot changed between sessions. This Monaco Edition rug was hand-knotted in wool and silk with that weaving tradition as its direct reference: warm rose and dusty grey in fine vertical striations, the silk threads carrying a natural luminosity through the wool ground that makes the surface read differently in morning light than under evening lamps. Silk is naturally biodegradable and temperature-regulating, sourced responsibly within Monaco Edition's supply chain. For a bedroom or dining room. Available in custom sizes.
