The decorative arts of ancient China produced lacquerwork and painted silk in which aquamarine, gold and warm ivory appeared together with a frequency that was never accidental — a colour relationship refined over centuries because it produced a surface that was simultaneously rich and calm, ornate and easy to live with. This Monaco Edition rug was hand-knotted in bamboo silk, conventional silk and wool with exactly that combination in mind: flowing forms in aqua and gold across a warm ivory ground, the three fibres working together to produce a surface of exceptional warmth and natural luminosity. All three materials are sustainably sourced and naturally biodegradable. A rug of genuine distinction for a living room or bedroom. Available in custom sizes.
