The kilim weavers of Anatolia built their most enduring designs from horizontal bands of colour — stripes that accumulated into a surface richer than any single tone could produce, the relationships between warm and cool, light and dark doing all the work that pattern would otherwise be asked to do. This Monaco Edition wool rug draws from that tradition directly: bands of warm terracotta, amber and natural ivory sitting beside one another in a composition that is immediate and resolved. Dense wool pile gives the surface a warmth that suits every room it enters, from a bedroom to a generous dining space. Available in custom sizes.
