The artists who worked in collage in postwar Europe — assembling fragments of newspaper, printed textile and painted paper into compositions that operated at the scale of paintings — understood that a surface built from recognisable pieces carries a richness that a continuous field never achieves. This Monaco Edition wool rug takes that collage logic to the floor: geometric fragments in warm terracotta, taupe, teal and ivory assembled across the surface in a composition that reads as a city viewed from above — the density of an urban plan made warm and liveable.
