The ikat-dyed textiles of Uzbekistan and Guatemala are among the oldest striped traditions in the world — each band of colour the result of resist-dyeing individual threads before weaving, a process so labour-intensive that the slight irregularities in the finished stripe were considered marks of quality rather than imperfection. This Monaco Edition wool rug draws from that tradition: horizontal bands of coral, teal, ivory, amber and soft grey running the full width of the surface in a palette that carries the warmth of something made by hand. Pure wool is naturally resilient, temperature-regulating and biodegradable — a premium material that improves with use rather than degrading. For living rooms and dining spaces.
