Broad bands of pale blue, sand and warm ivory move across the surface in diagonal planes, a single dark brushstroke cutting through the upper field with the ease of something drawn without hesitation. The design was inspired by aerial photographs of river deltas, where water and sediment create layered fields of colour that shift with the season and the light, forming compositions that no one planned and everyone finds beautiful. Woven in wool and viscose, the surface holds the soft tonal gradations cleanly while the brushstroke element gives the whole composition a lively, handmade energy. A piece that feels calm and alive at the same time.
