The Constructivist designers of revolutionary Russia proposed that art should function like a machine — each form interlocking with the next with the precision of engineered components, the composition producing a whole that was stronger than its parts. This Monaco Edition wool rug draws from that proposition: bold geometric forms in deep navy, ivory and warm blue assembled in a rotating composition, each shape fitted against its neighbour with the logic of something that could not have been placed differently.
