The postwar artists who worked in large-scale collage — assembling painted and printed paper into compositions that operated at the scale of architecture — understood that a palette of blue, rose, ivory and warm yellow placed in the right proportions produces a visual energy that neither colour alone could generate. This Monaco Edition wool rug draws from that tradition: soft organic forms in those tones assembled across the surface with the ease of something placed rather than woven, the natural wool pile carrying the pastel palette with a matte warmth that synthetic alternatives cannot replicate.
