The textile fragments preserved in museum collections from Central Asian trading routes share a quality that distinguishes them from anything made later: a palette brought by time to exactly the right point of softness, where every tone has settled into its neighbour and the whole surface reads as a single warm field. This Monaco Edition wool and viscose rug was developed with that quality of age as its starting point rather than its destination — muted stone, sage, ivory and grey-green in a patchwork of geometric fields, the viscose content adding depth without weight. Both fibres are naturally breathable and carry warmth without synthetic additives. A rug that suits a living room, bedroom or home office with equal ease. Available in custom sizes.
