Paul Klee spent years at the Bauhaus teaching his students that a composition built from rectangles and circles in muted, close-valued tones produced more visual warmth than one built from contrasting colours — that the harmony of similar tones, given the right proportions, was more satisfying to live with than any bold palette. This Monaco Edition wool rug was made in that spirit: rounded rectangular forms in warm ochre, pale stone and cream sitting beside one another across the surface with the ease of shapes that have always belonged together. A rug that improves a room quietly and without effort. Available in custom sizes.
