Hiroshige's woodblock prints of misty landscapes — mountains dissolving into fog, moons half-hidden behind cloud — used the blurred circle as a symbol of impermanence, the form present and retreating at the same time. Monaco Edition hand-knotted this wool rug in the spirit of those prints: concentric circular forms in pale rose and cool grey on a warm ivory ground, their edges soft and their tonal relationships close, the composition reading as both celestial and entirely calm. Pure natural wool is biodegradable, hypoallergenic and sustainably sourced. A rug for a bedroom or living space where the atmosphere is built from restraint rather than statement.
