The minimalist sculptors of the 1960s — Donald Judd, Robert Morris, Carl Andre — proposed that a single object placed correctly in a space said more than any complex arrangement. This Monaco Edition wool rug applies that proposition to the floor: a single circular form in warm ivory sitting at the upper field of a pale ground, the composition complete and requiring nothing added. The restraint of the design puts all the focus on the material quality of the natural wool pile, which is warm, dense and naturally thermoregulating — a premium ecological fibre chosen by Monaco Edition for long-term performance.
