Old master drawings made on vellum — figures sketched in silverpoint or brown ink on a pale prepared ground — have a delicacy and warmth that no printed reproduction captures. Each line holds the exact pressure and speed of the hand that made it, the surface recording the decision as it happened. Monaco Edition translated that drawing quality into this wool rug: fine figurative linework in warm ivory tones on a cream ground, the composition sitting at the boundary between decorative art and floor covering.
