The abstract painters who worked in New York during the 1950s understood that colour blocks needed scale and the right compositional relationships to function as painting rather than decoration — that a teal field placed beside an ivory one, with a warm rectangle between them, was a complete argument about colour that required no further justification. This Monaco Edition viscose rug was developed from exactly that logic: cool teal, warm amber and pale ivory in a framed composition, each field given the space to hold its own. Viscose is a natural, plant-derived fibre that gives each colour a depth and a quiet sheen, keeping the palette alive through different lighting conditions. For living rooms and home offices.
