Henry Moore's late drawings — figures rendered in warm ivory and pale grey wash on cream paper, the forms suggesting volume through tone rather than line — had a quality of resolved warmth that his sculptures sometimes sacrificed for scale. Monaco Edition drew from those Moore drawings for this handcrafted rug: soft organic forms in warm ivory and pale taupe on a cream ground, the composition reading as both figurative and entirely abstract, the surface carrying the warmth of something made by a hand rather than a process.
