Against a pale ivory ground, fine lines of charcoal trace across the surface in loose, overlapping paths — spontaneous in feeling yet surprisingly resolved as a composition, the way the best drawings look effortless precisely because so much skill went into them. The design was inspired by the gestural line work of contemporary artists who treat mark-making as its own complete language, where a single confident stroke carries more weight than an elaborate composition. The combination of wool and viscose gives the surface a gentle contrast between matte depth and soft sheen, adding dimension to what might otherwise read as simply graphic.
