Geologists working in the field collect cross-section samples from cliff faces and sediment cores — sliced columns of earth that reveal millions of years of deposition in a few centimetres of material, each layer a different tone and texture depending on what was being laid down at the time. This Monaco Edition bamboo silk rug was drawn from those cross-sections: warm terracotta, rose, amber and sage layered across the surface in organic bands, the bamboo silk giving the earth palette a luminosity that makes the tones glow rather than simply sit. A rug for a living room or bedroom where warmth and natural reference are the right combination. Available in custom sizes.
