The diamond has been used as a decorative motif in European floor design since the Renaissance — in marble inlay, in parquet and in flat-weave textile — because its geometry reads strongly at every scale and its four equal sides give it a stability that no other form quite matches. This Monaco Edition wool rug takes the diamond as its sole compositional element: three diamond forms in warm ivory, cool grey and a single accent of deep rust sitting beside one another on a pale ground, the arrangement spare and confident. Pure wool is naturally resilient and biodegradable, carrying the restrained palette with a matte warmth. For a living room, bedroom or entrance hall. Available in custom sizes.
