Desert walls photographed after decades of sun and wind carry a surface quality that no decorator achieves intentionally — layers of limewash and mineral pigment eroded to a surface where every tone seems right because none of them were chosen. Monaco Edition hand-knotted this rug with that quality of undesigned perfection as its ambition: warm ivory, pale sand and soft rose in a surface of organic variation, the composition reading as aged from the first day it is laid.
