The painted ceilings of 18th-century European ballrooms were often scattered with small repeating motifs — stars, rosettes or diamond forms distributed across a pale ground in a pattern that read as texture from the floor below and as individual ornament from a gallery above. This Monaco Edition wool rug takes that same dual quality and brings it to the floor: small geometric marks scattered across a warm sand ground in a composition that reads as a refined field from across the room and reveals its detail up close. Woven in natural wool — a renewable, hypoallergenic and naturally soil-resistant fibre — the rug is as practical as it is beautiful. Suited to bedrooms, living rooms and entrance halls.
