The medallion rug tradition stretches back to the royal workshops of Safavid Persia, where master weavers developed the central medallion format as the highest expression of their craft — a single radiating form that organised the entire field of the rug around one point of perfect symmetry. This Monaco Edition rug was hand-knotted in bamboo silk in direct conversation with that tradition: a full floral medallion rendered in warm rose, ivory and soft gold, the bamboo silk carrying a luminosity through the pile that gives the classical composition a freshness no reproduction could achieve. For a living room or dining space where quality and heritage both matter. Available in custom sizes.
