The chalk downlands of southern England and northern France have a particular quality of light — the pale, fine-grained earth reflecting the sky back upward, the whole landscape luminous in a way that darker ground never is. This Monaco Edition wool rug was drawn from that quality: a surface of warm natural ivory and pale cream with a subtle texture that comes from the weave itself rather than from pattern or ornament. It is a rug that works in almost any interior, bringing light and warmth to a room without competing with anything around it.
