Baroque ceiling painters covered the domes of European churches with cherubs, clouds and light — figures rendered in fresco that seemed to float above the congregation, the illusion of altitude created entirely through paint and plaster. Monaco Edition brought that figurative tradition down to the floor in this wool rug: a playful cherub rendered in warm rose and ivory on a pale cream ground, the composition carrying the warmth and lightness of an 18th-century decorative sketch. Pure wool is naturally biodegradable and sustainably sourced, carrying the delicate figurative detail with a matte warmth that suits a bedroom or a child's room. Available in custom sizes.
