The structural drawings of early reinforced concrete buildings — showing the network of steel rods laid within a grid before the concrete was poured — have a visual logic that is entirely functional and quietly beautiful, the intersecting lines mapping a structure that would disappear once the material set around them. This Monaco Edition wool rug draws from those structural drawings: a terracotta ground carrying a fine grid network of pale lines and small geometric nodes, the composition reading as both urban plan and textile pattern.
