Traditional textile fragments from Central Asian excavations often survive as angular geometric pieces — sections of a larger composition whose original scale and meaning have been lost, but whose individual beauty is greater for the mystery surrounding them. This Monaco Edition rug was hand-knotted in wool and bamboo silk with that quality of the recovered fragment in mind: angular forms in ivory, teal and warm gold assembled across the surface with the energy of something once part of a larger whole. The bamboo silk threads add a warmth and sheen that lifts the pale palette considerably. A rug for a living room or dining space. Available in custom sizes.
