Aerial survey maps of terracotta desert terrain — produced by photographers flying at low altitude over the red landscapes of the American Southwest or the Saharan margins — show the ground as a surface of scattered marks, cracks and shadow patterns that read as both geological record and abstract composition. Monaco Edition drew from those aerial surveys for this viscose rug: warm terracotta and pale ivory in a scattered composition of fine marks and organic paths, the plant-derived viscose pile adding a natural sheen that keeps the warm palette alive. Viscose is sustainably produced and biodegradable. For a living room or bedroom. Available in custom sizes.
