Hand-Tufted Rugs for Your High Spirits

Some people confuse hand-tufted and hand-knotted rugs, even though there are some fundamental differences in the process of creating both types of covering. In fact, the products feel and look in different ways.

You do not need too much skill and lots of time to make a hand-tufted carpet. Using a hand-operated tool, you stretch a canvas on a special frame, and then you punch yarns of wool into it. When a carpet has been piled with wool, it can be removed from the frame. Next step is to glue some scrim fabric to the back of this covering. The product is completed after a fringe has been added to it.
